Carlsbad’s Kids & Coffee opens in early November

A new indoor playground set to open next month in Carlsbad will house a bonus for parents, caregivers, and friends — an on-site cafe and lounge serving drinks and assorted bites. Debuting officially on November 9, Kids & Coffee has turned 11,500-square-feet of office space into an immersive entertainment center that’ll be accessible through memberships or general admission passes.

Founded by San Diegans Vivian Ho and Ken Li, who became parents during the pandemic and wanted to create a safe play space for their daughter and other local children, the North County hub includes a fast-casual cafe and seating area that’ll feature a full espresso and coffee menu powered by local roaster Mostra Coffee along with tea drinks, smoothies, and food options ranging from pastries to salads, sandwiches, and other snacks. Kids & Coffee will also offer all-inclusive party packages and classes for kids and adults, from arts and crafts to coffee tastings.

With play options like a mini grocery store, parkour structures, a huge ball pit, and multiple slides, the space will also have a quiet sensory area and a dedicated room for nursing.
