American Crystal Sugar is proud to award the Highland Inclusive Playground a check for $10,000 to help with the creation of the Inclusive Playground. A playground designed so that all can play. This

American Crystal Sugar is proud to award the Highland Inclusive Playground a check for $10,000 to help with the creation of the Inclusive Playground. A playground designed so that all can play. This will be the only inclusive playground within 80 miles providing an incredible opportunity for families within our region.

Highland Elementary School in Crookston, is raising funds to bring an inclusive playground to our community. Play is essential for a child’s healthy brain development.

Though play, children are given the opportunity to learn about themselves, create and nurture social relationships, improve regulation of emotions, and gain an understanding of how to interact with the world around them. While traditional playgrounds are built to encourage play, they are not inclusive.

What makes a playground inclusive?

If you too would like to donate to this very needed playground So All Can Play, please contact Highland Elementary School Principal, Chris Trostad, or Crookston Public School Superintendent, Randal Bergquist.

American Crystal is proud to support the Highland Inclusive Playground and hopes this grant will help to fund this So All Can Play.
